First Wonder is designed to encourage independence without treating safety as an afterthought.
Use the kit-specific guidance
Always follow the age grading, instructions, warnings and supervision notes supplied with the specific product. Different kits involve different materials and levels of adult support.
Small parts
Some First Wonder products contain small components. Keep loose parts away from younger siblings and pets, and follow the age and supervision guidance printed for the specific kit.
Electronics
Build only with the components and low-voltage power arrangements specified in the guide. Work on a clean, dry surface, disconnect power before changing connections and ask an adult for help when unsure. Stop if a component becomes unusually hot, damaged or produces smoke.
Chemistry activities
Follow the exact approved experiment instructions and measured quantities, use the specified protective equipment, never taste experiment materials and wash hands after activities. Do not improvise chemical combinations. Adult supervision should be used whenever the activity calls for it.
Creative tools
Use scissors, glue and other craft or maker tools carefully and according to the project instructions. Some steps may require adult help.
Learning claims
Our goal is to create meaningful practice in curiosity, persistence, observation, problem-solving and making. We do not promise guaranteed grades, intelligence or future career outcomes.
